Terms and Conditions
Business Hours:
Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PST
Terms of Payment:
Orders can be pre-paid with Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card,
money order, cashier’s check or a bank wire transfer.
All non-prepaid orders are shipped C.O.D. to dealers.
We carry no open accounts.
All orders pre-paid by personal or business check will be
held 10 business days for the check to clear.
There are no exceptions to these payment terms.
Ordering:
We will accept wheel orders by phone or in writing, via e-mail or
fax. We will not, however, be held responsible for mistakes done
due to
phone miscommunication. Please verify all information listed on invoice. Copy of
an
invoice can be sent to a customer by fax or email.
When placing your order please provide the
following information: Year, Manufacturer, Model, Front or Rear, Brake
and Drive configuration, Number of spokes, Lacing style and
finishing options. If an item you need can't be found on our
website, please contact us directly, we may be able to make it. Motorcycle brand names
are provided for reference only. Products appearing on this
website are not licensed or endorsed by listed motorcycle
manufacturers. Matching your color will be as best as we can. Unlike solvent-based wet paint, we cannot change the powder
coating formulation in any way. It cannot be lightened, darkened or
color changed by adding another powder. To match Harley-Davidson
color "Motorcycle Color Chart" from Harley will be used unless
customer will provide a color sample.
Radial laced wheel usage:Radial and Fan-6 laced wheels are designed for show bikes. This type of lacing is not as strong as the cross laced one. Riding on such wheels has to be more delicate avoiding rapid accelerations and stoppings (High Torque moments).
Warning:HDW assumes no responsibility for damage or injure of any kind because of the misuse or improper application of any parts in any way by any person. HDW has no control over the usage of any of its parts and expects the dealer and dealer's customer to exercise good judgment as to the proper selection, installation, use and maintenance of any parts. When using our wheels, the tires used for your application must have a load index and speed rating equal to or greater than the tires fitted as original equipment.
Minimum Orders:
All
orders under $30.00 (not including shipping), will incur a $6.00
handling fee.
Dealer Pricing:
To
receive a dealer net, your business ,ust be associated with one of
the following: Motorcycle Dealer, Motorcycle Repair, Motorcycle
Aftermarket Parts & Sales, or Motorcycle Manufacturer. For us
to provide a dealer pricing, we require you to submit to us a Dealer
Application (available upon request).
Quantity Orders:
Quantity pricing is available. A written purchase order and
pre-payment must accompany quantity orders. Expect a minimum of 6
weeks to prepare order for a shipment. Quantity orders are
non-refundable.
Shipping:
Unless
otherwise specified, we will ship UPS Ground. We can
ship UPS 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air, or Next Day Air, and higher
shipping rates will apply. Next Day Air ‘Red Label’ requires a
$13.50 service fee in addition to the actual shipping charge.
Shipping by any means other than those listed above will be granted
only upon customer request, and will entail a service fee of $15.00
for delivery to the shipping agent. We
inspect all merchandise prior to shipment and all damage claims
become the responsibility of the carrier. The recipient must
make claims for damage with the carrier, not with HDW. When
sending us your parts to be worked on, please include your return
shipping address, daytime telephone number and an itemized list and
description of parts (even if only one item), in case of damage
caused during shipping. Without an itemized list, we have no
way of knowing if the shipment is complete, or if all the parts
shipped have been retrieved from the package. HDW
will not be held responsible for parts lost in disposed packaging.
If there is a discrepancy between your packing list, and what was
found in the box, you will be contacted as soon as possible. HDW
will not be held liable for incoming damage due to negligent
packaging.
Service:
Orders
are generally filled within 2 weeks, depending on seasonal backlog.
Special order parts and services will require a longer period for
completion. Anodizing,
chrome plating, custom powder coating, custom drilling, etc. may take 3 to
4 weeks.
Returns:
No returns will be accepted after
15 days
of initial shipment arrival to the customer. Only basic configuration
wheels
(Steel, Cross laced wheels with chrome finish and polished
stainless steel round spokes, polished or chrome plated hub),
standard size round spokes or spoke kits, chrome plated pulleys or
rotors (as long as the merchandise was unused and in a fully resalable
condition as no stains, no damage, no abuse)
can be returned. All returns must have
its original packaging with
freight prepaid and insured.
All product returns will be assessed the industry standard
25% restocking fee.
Returns must be made within 15 days of "Return Authorization" date.
A copy of your receipt must accompany all returns.
All powder coated (except standard
spoke sets) or specially plated products cannot be returned for a
refund. Defective parts will be replaced. If a finish of an item is
not suitable, HDW may refinish to the best closest satisfactory
match (may subject of an additional fee).
Special Offer Sales: All sales are
considered FINAL, items are non returnable.
Absolutely no returns, credits or
exchanges once items are installed.
Warranty:
All
parts manufactured by HDW are guaranteed to be free from defects in
workmanship and materials for 12 months. This warranty does
not apply to corrosion factors, which may affect the materials in
certain regions. HDW will not warranty broken spokes that were
installed by customer with inadequate torque settings. Warranty
applies only on parts and services supplied by HDW. A
customer who is not qualified should hire a qualified mechanic to do
the work. HDW cannot be held liable for parts used in any manner
other than originally intended. Vehicles used in competition or off
road are not covered by, and are exempt from, any and all
warranties.
Warranty for Custom White
Wall tire:
HDW honors the original tire manufacturer's warranty and 24 months on a Custom White or Colored Wall. The coverage is prorated on any custom wall tire. Street tire life is defined by the depth in the tread area. Warranty applies only to original purchaser. Warranty does not include tire abuse, underinflation, demaged by road hazard, incorrect sizing, or damage caused by improper mounting or storage procedures. Warranty does not include the labor or tire services (mounting, etc). This warranty is honored by HDW not an original manufacturer.
Disclaimer:
When a
customer makes specifications for a custom product, he/she must
provide information
in a manner described on this website. HDW guarantees only
that the dimensions and fitment, as specified by the customer, shall
be furnished. The
customer is hereby further notified and warned that HDW assumes no
obligation to perform any type of metallurgical or laboratory
testing of the materials on which the work is to be performed or has
been performed upon, or services have been rendered for hidden or
non-obvious conditions, cracks, tensile strength, elasticity or
otherwise, all such testing and disclosures being the sole
responsibility and obligation of the customer. HDW
